Kavon Massenburg - Founder's Story

At 21, I was sitting in a jail cell facing a possible ten year sentence for dealing drugs. Having just survived a gunshot wound to the head, I was yet again watching my life flash before my eyes. I was sitting on my bunk and wrote six words in my notebook that would begin my journey to Sole Purpose.

“How do I change my life?”

In the last 3 years, I've met hundreds of amazing and inspiring people who've taught me so much. I've read every book on success I could find and clocked hundreds of research hours on this topic. There are many paths, many techniques, and many tools available. I am truly grateful for those who share their success and insights.

But at the core of it all, I've come to understand that there's one thing that propels all of those transformative tools and techniques: a purpose. Once you identify that one thing that's bigger than you that can motivate and energize your every word and action, the rest simply falls into place. A life lived in servitude of a higher purpose - whether it's curing cancer, being the world's best DJ or simply uplifting others - is a life lived in positivity and fulfillment.

That's why I created Sole Purpose. Because my purpose is to fill the world with purpose - to inspire billions. And to give you the tools to inspire those around you. To create a community of those who live in purpose, to connect us wherever we go, to wear our mission on our chests and not be judged by where we come from - but what we care about - and where we are going.
